Corfu

SHOPPING & MARKETS / CULTURE & HISTORY / IDEAL FOR FAMILIES / EASY

Visit the ‘Jewel’ of the Ionian Sea.  This is a return boat journey.  You will have approx. 5hrs of free time, allowing you to explore Corfu town and create your own Itinerary.

Corfu town is a maze of narrow streets dominated by the 16th century fortress.  Around every corner you can find a chapel, old mansion or secret garden square.

The square of the Esplanade (also called Spianada) is the central square of Corfu Town and the largest square in the Balkans. One of the most beautiful buildings boarding the square is the Liston building which stands at the western side of the Esplanade and was built during the French occupation. Its superb arched terrace was inspired by the architectural style of the Rue de Rivoli, in Paris.  It is arguably the most cosmopolitan spot in Corfu and the best place to people watch whilst enjoying cold drink.

The boat usually docks in the small marina ‘Port of Naok’, but sometimes in high season the boat may have to dock in the large main port, due to permissions from the port police.  Please be aware of where you are in order that you do not miss the boat. If you are unsure ask a member of the crew.
